Learn the parts of software school skips.

A practical, late-night field guide to the stuff tutorials cut for time: Git, deployment, Docker, hosting, environment variables, CI/CD, DNS, logs, and how real apps are actually structured and shipped.

why this exists, a note from the maker

In my four years of undergrad I met plenty of people who could actually write the code — reverse a linked list, pass the LeetCode questions — but especially in those last two years, I noticed a severe lack of people who could actually set up a dev environment, debug, etc.

So the whole point of this site (other than the resume fluff) was making a cute little blog that reads a little better than your average documentation — which you wouldn't read anyways.

So if you're just getting started, or didn't pay attention in your web apps class, here's something for you.
